In this transcript of one of Dr. Holmes early radio programs (from Thursday, February 4, 1943, on Station KFWB in Los Angeles), he tells us that references to “Mount Zion” relate to our own inward self. He tells us that when we hear the name to know that it refers “to the center of your being, to a spiritual place within you, which by intuition, knows its relationship with the invisible Life.” Hence, any reference to our “going up” to Mount Zion is really a call for us to rise up to the “City of God”, that place within us where we have access to divine wisdom, power and intelligence.
