This is a 61 page PDF of the book Values – A Philosophy of Human Needs published by the University of Chicago in 1932.
It was co-authored by Dr. Ernest Holmes and Milton Sills and represents a dialogue between the two men on the topics of “Reality”, “The Creator in Creation”, “Values”, “Personality”, “Faith” and “Immortality”. Throughout the book are also quotes from the writings of Sills.
Who was Milton Sills? He gained fame as a Broadway actor in the early part of the 20th century before making the transition to movies where he was best known. His Hollywood career began in 1914 and lasted up until his death in 1930 at the age of 48. He was also known as a student of psychology and philosophy and according to Wikipedia taught at the University of Chicago.
This book, a transcript of conversations between Holmes and Sills (as described in the Foreword written by Holmes), was published after Sills’ death.
