Description
This is the transcript of Dr. Holmes talk at the Beverly Theater on March 6, 1955.
Here is a nice quote from the document: “I have been reading some very interesting things by some very interesting people lately. Carl Jung and some Oriental philosophers who understand the essence of things psychological and spiritual. One of them, I was reading the other day, appealed to me very much. He said in the first process, we will say, in the transition of thought from the old idea, we will say that the universe is hard fact in itself. Which science no longer entertains and we seek to get some new ideas and then we say all these other things were illusions, the mountains and the brooks, this is but a phase. After a while, after we penetrate the innermost, the mountains return. I love this because I cannot believe that I am living in a life of illusion, I cannot believe God is an illusion. I think everything is as real as we make it..”
